Great update on a great pant

I love the Cherchen pants for rock climbing. I prefer them to most others. I still like the Pata Altvia Light and OR Ferrosi, especially the latter's excellent value. I got the Hybrids for my 16 year-old son.

We/I am a a large in the Cherchen, we were not in this - XL was perfect. He's a 6'2" 195 big burly boy. I have loved the Cherchen, but have abrasion holes in the leg pocket where I keep a phone sometimes, and have unwisely practiced full-body velcro climbing techniques. It should not be an issue with normal wear and tear.

The main differences between the Hybrid vs Cherchen are: reinforced knees and seat, zip side pockets, no leg zip pocket, no drawstrings at the ankles and the Hybrid has a more robust belt. The Hybrids got their first outing at the cliff on a very spreadeagle kind of route and the pants worked like a dream. They are a great addition to anyone's light, durable, softshell pants.
