Sibir Hoody

A powerfully designed, highly versatile technical fleece that can be worn as a mid-layer or stand alone for all outdoor activities. Polartec Power Stretch Pro has a “hardface” exterior surface for wind and water resistance. Four-way stretch, soft brushed interior, zippered chest pocket, two zippered hand pockets, integrated hood and neck gaiter, thumbloops. Long enough to ride under all straps and packs.

Size: S-XL

Fit: Slim fitting 2nd layer. Usually fits true to size - intended to be close to body fit for performance and layering. If you are on the large side of your size, size up a size. Especially with muscular wrists and forearms, sizing up often works great.

Form Meets Function

I sniped the Sibir mid-layer this Fall on reports that we’d be seeing a colder, snowier winter here in the Kootenays. Traditionally, I’ve run with an Arcteryx Atom or similar layer between my base merino and hardshell, but had been curious about the more form-fitting, Polartec stretch option the Sibir represents.
But yeah, cold weather! The fabric performs incredibly well, repelling cold dry snow and simultaneously wicking any perspiration.
The stretch and pliability is awesome, too, and while I could easily have gone for a large (I’m 6’1/183cm and 170lb) the medium still accommodates my high ape-index lanky arms. The thumb-holes/gaiter bond well with even lightweight/tight-fit uptrack gloves, and the offset zipper keeps my beard from getting snagged (again, I bought this with cold Wx in mind, it is definitely beard season!) The hood makes me think of my wetsuit hood, and I appreciate that it wraps my dome tight. I doubt it would fit all that great over a helmet, but in the same sentence, it’s not so enlarged that it wouldn’t tuck to one side in a deployed hardshell hood before dropping in.
My only design request or alteration would be that the zippered chest pocket have a more substantial YKK or similar zip to grab hold of- The supplied zip and its tang are tough to grab hold of w gloves on.
Awesome mid-layer o/a soft shell jacket, already planning to buy another in the khaki/drab color way

Unique and functional

Very cool and unique fleece jacket. The material is awesome, abrasion resistant and water repellent. The diagonal zip is both stylish and keeps the zip out of the way. The fit is good with long arms.

Amazing product. Hood fits perfectly over the helmet. I couldn’t believe how warm it was.

I recommend pairing with the winter jacket to get the full Beringia experience.

I just received me sibir hoody. It only too two days to arrive! The fabric! The fit! the look!. I am impressed. I have a ton of winter gear and I dont have anything like this. Congrats - this sweatshirt will indeed start a new trend.
