Women's Diomede Bottoms

DIOMEDE is our proprietary fabric that seamlessly knits multiple layers of fabric into one ultra-stretchy waffle. The collection underwent 2 years of testing and design refinement in the wettest, snowiest conditions in the Japanese Alps before release.

Designed for high performance and a broad comfort range, the waffle fabric creates a lofty air-trapping cushion. Unheard of 2:1 stretch ration. Made to be worn against-the-skin, we use a patented collagen finish (instead of chlorine), machine washable. 92% fine merino.

Just what I've been looking for

I struggle finding great base layers--my waist and hips fall into two different size categories at most companies, especially when I want to wear wool rather than synthetic base layers. The great thing with these is that the stretch is really forgiving while also providing a great fit and warmth (of course). These are my new favorite base layers and I invent excuses even when I'm not on the mountain / backcountry to wear them too. Definitely go with your regular size. I'd also shout out that they have the just right rise, not too high and not too low.

Comfy - Great Stretch

I’ve worn these bottoms as my go-to, everyday baselayer this winter and am very happy with the warmth, durability and range of uses. And yes they work as my around the house pants too :) The bottoms have lots of stretch, and after days (I’ve worn these skiing/ski touring/winter camping for up to 5 days in a row) of wear they return to their original shape once washed (good results with cold delicate wash and hang dry). I was afraid they would be too warm, but they are very light for a waffle fabric. After about 10 washes they still look good with no pilling. I would recommend this product to all merino fans.
