• A loop for an avalanche beacon is set inside the right pocket. The ends of the loops are sewn directly into the pants body and are reinforced with darts for maximum strength.
• The bottom and knees are mapped with the same high-strength mechanical stretch nylon as the St. Elias Bibs, increasing strength and durability.
• Thigh ventilation on both sides extends from the waist to above the knees. Vislon zipper with a double slider that opens and closes smoothly, allowing for quick opening and closing even while on the move.
• A gaiter hem that wraps around larger cuffs. The tightening width can be adjusted with the cord.

Built with from our new Täsmä precision response fabric whose inner membrane variably adjusts to ambient weather conditions, assuring the perfect combination of protection, breathability and all-day comfort, especially during activities that require unpredictable alternation between periods of high performance and response such as climbing a steep skin-track followed by a cold north facing descent.

Just off a week in the Selkirks, hiking and skiing the Climactic pant. What immediately strikes you is that you’re not aware of anything the pant is doing, it simply stays out of the way and is perfectly comfortable. The design considers well the need to vent on warm/hot up tracks and closes easily with one hand in transition. For bio breaks, the zipper design of up vs down is really well thought out and the ability to dial in the right amount of belt action in your waist is simple, set and forget with never a worry of the pant getting twisted and inhibiting your motion. The lower inside ski edge reinforcement protection material is bomber and shows no signs of any rub whatsoever. The material breathes well, but keeps you warm and dry when the snow flies. I could use another pocket on the left front leg, like the one on the right, cuz you never can have too many pockets. The small fit is perfect for a 5’9” 160 lb person. Great piece!
