The Beringia HAWL Bag was developed out of the inherent need to improve the everyday management and transport of gear.

Beringia and Swiss design house BMCO have collaborated to re-define the simple act of carrying, storing and organizing your gear. The HAWL bag is a 70L tote/duffel, constructed from a hardwearing recycled polyester with a water-repellent finish. The unique compression system and snap closure converts the bag from open-carry to total security for shoulder or hand carry. When open, the 70L tote transforms into a large storage compartment.

The reason we love it: We use the bag daily to keep our ski / bike / camp gear etc. organized and ready to go on a moments notice.

Size: 70L > 13" high (ends) x 15 1/2" wide x 23 2/4" long Packs flat, ships in its own envelope.

This is my new go-to weekend bag

This is definitely a different take on a duffle bag. I saw it initially at the store in Bozeman, and didn't think much of it. When I returned home back East, I began to think how useful the design would be for weekend trips, as far as throwing in gear, clothes, and shoes. When I get to the destination I unclip the strap hardware and everything is visible, I don't need to dig thru it to find what I need. It's super light, but so far appears very durable and well made.

I am in search and rescue and this bag has been a life saver to get me out the door quicker. It’s opens all the way up and fits my helmet and boots along with all my additional layers and misc gear. Would recommend it.

Stellar Durable Gear Tote

This 70l Hawl bag has been my go to since receiving one! I use it for my climbing gear, rope bag, camping supplies, occasionally big grocery hawl and running gear bag. I have even traveled with it via plane and fits in the overhead bins nicely. I cannot wait to use it to toss all my ski gear in this coming winter! Beringia has it dialed with the Hawl Bag!

Love the simplicity !

Surprising simplicity in the design approach. You can see the clean Swiss practicality. No unnecessary bling, just pure function. Love how I can see everything in the bag at a glance.

Flimsy Handle

This could use a better handle strap. On an otherwise great bag it has a flimsy handle. It’s too long to hand carry and too short to shoulder carry. Would be great if it was adjustable, was of a better webbing and had magnets to stay together. Despite that it’s still a very useful bag.
