All Season Jacket; Wide Temp Range

Never thought I'd be into the pullover, but between the Tsurugi and Octa I'm sold! Lightweight and functional, this jacket has a wide temperature range thanks to it's select insulation and fabric choice. The long diagonal zipper looks cool, but it also creates a wide opening making the pullover easier than a center zip. I packed this on every alpine trip so far this summer and see it being even better as a cool weather rock climbing layer or ski touring jacket for high output/cold days.

The ALMOST perfect lightweight jacket

Overall, this jacket is awesome! Very versatile, extremely packable with just a fair amount of light insulation while still breathable, has some stretch, and is comfortable with a nice "standard" fit. Looks pretty cool and unique too. Haven't been able to assess the water repellency and durability yet. What would make this jacket PERFECT would be if it had a kangaroo pocket/two zippered-hand pockets and a stowable hood/way to secure it (since it's so light any amount of wind makes it flap around and can be a bit bothersome).

One of my favorite jackets I’ve had

Perfect lightweight summer layer for any sort of adventure. Love the fleece lined parts where you need it to add a little warmth and not where you don’t like on the back to make it sweaty carrying a pack.

My favorite featherweight, anytime/travel jacket.

This is a cozy, featherweight, ‘loosely-snug’ jacket. The ripstop nylon outer is smooth and soft to the touch and does a good job of keeping rain off and wind out in lighter conditions.

The overall fit is loose, with a ‘drapey-flow’ that drifts over the body allowing for freedom of movement. The sleeves are slim — when I pull them up, they compress at the forearm; before reaching the elbow.

The slash, zippered pocket is convenient; inside, there is a bungie loop — I use a Nite Ize S-Biner to hang keys/EDC (suspending EDC helps to eliminate jostling and keeps the pocket from bagging/bulging).

The fit of the hood is also ‘loosely-snug’; it’s form-fitting without being a ‘scuba-fit’ — the hood allows for great visibility and articulates perfectly when ‘turning-to-look’.

I wish it had a zipper garage at the top to keep my short beard from being snagged (like the Sibir Hoody). I would also welcome minimal hand pockets for quick hand protection from the elements.

I’m 5’6”, 125 lbs — size small fits as intended, and to my liking. Thank you team Beringia, for your continued support and accommodation with my inquires and requests. 🙂

Super lightweight. Perfect for a runner who lives at higher altitude where there might be winds, light rain and snow almost year round. Very comfortable. I even wore this jacket during a track workout and you barley feel it’s there. Have also work during a run while it was snowing heavy and it kept me well dry. Zipper pockets are kinda cool too. Does a great job at keeping my body temp warm but not too warm while running. Since it is well ventilated it does not do great when idle as cold air seeps in.
