ORIGINAL FABRICS

‘DIOMEDE’ by BERINGIA

Beringia’s Masters of Bishu line features ‘Diomede’, a proprietary fabric that seamlessly knits multiple layers of fabric into one ultra-stretchy waffle. The collection underwent 2 years of testing and design refinement in the wettest, snowiest conditions in the Japanese Alps before release.

By combining different knits into one single fabric we can move excess heat and humidity into the air (active) and trap more dry air between the layers (passive). The outer waffle is resilient to the point of feeling almost spongy, providing an unheard-of 2:1 ratio of stretchable comfort, with a bold but elegant cross-hatched waffle texture.

Made with 91% Merino, Collagen finish (Chlorine Free), machine washable, this is the softest-lightest merino shirt built for high performance and a broad comfort range.

Excellent Bottoms, Excellent Customer Service

Tall (6'5) & Trim. I'm always on the search for clothing that fits. Purchased tops and bottoms. Enjoyed them so much the day I received them, I turned around and purchase another pair. Then noticed an small issue on the bottoms and customer service was very helpful in solving the issue.

A bit thin, but once you start moving it heats up with your body heat, which I would prefer to very warm when still and blazing hot when moving. Quick drying, very comfortable. Hoping they hold up well over time. A new favorite of mine.

Breathable, warm, stretchy, quick drying

This is my new favorite baselayer bottom for typical winter resort skiing and backcountry skiing when it's sufficiently cold (highs in the teens). As the title says, it is very breathable, warm, stretchy. It offers little to no wind resistance and is quick drying. I purchased these in size L as I use size L St. Elias bibs. They are a little bit too loose fitting and I would probably get them in size M if I could swap. I do prefer 3/4 length bottoms so I may get a tailor to shorten these. Overall very pleased!

The best fitting, warmest base layer ever

Been looking for a warm base layer for hiking. This product is the BEST. Warm, without being hot. Never get that damp, sweaty feel. Great fit that doesn't ride up. I have the top too. Both are top-notch.

Bomber Merino

I was in dire need of a baselayer refresher. Due to sensitive skin I have issues with most of my previous merino layers. After being introduced to Beringia I was intrigued by the collagen finish. My first day out with them was everything I could asked for. Soft, wicking and warm! I bought the complete kit (top and bottom), and was very impressed.

Best so far

I m happy to support these guys. Finally something different in merino, everyone knows that trapping dry air makes you comfortable and warm and these bottoms it better than any other merino bottom I have worn. Guiding from Alaska to Japan, I have worn them everyday this winter and they are still in good shape after multiple washes. I m 5'7" and wear a small, I would recommend a size down if you like it to fit snug against the skin.
