Farallon Insulated Shirt

Massive fan of this shirt. The story behind the reclaimed wool is totally inspiring of course, but more than anything, this piece just fits great, looks amazing, and is warmer and more versatile than I initially expected. The feel of the brushed wool in particular is something you just have to experience in person to believe. I'm 5'10", 155 lbs., and am happy with my size M.

I really like this jacket, but had to deduct 1 star. I’ll start with the great: Materials and build quality are 5/5 stars. Love. The woven wool is about as good as it gets… soft, warm, durable, and looks great. Fit is also just right. I’m 5’11’’, 180 and size L fits just like I was hoping. Flattering drape, with enough room to layer a cozy sweater underneath. Now the not great—2 minor flaws. 1) the pockets are on top of the insulation, which should NEVER be the case in a jacket. Hands need to stay warm too. 2) the collar is on the flimsy side which means it struggles to stand up on its own when you want to keep your neck warm.

I am a big fan of Beringia Farallon shirts. I own a regular one and love it so when they launched the insulated one, I went for it. I wear it all the time. Skiing, going to work, in my cabin. An essential piece of gear to my adventurous life. High quality, elegant, warm, sustainable. Highly recommended.

Love this shirt jacket. It’s super high quality, fits well, stylish, and roomy enough to layer a hoodie underneath. Overall very happy with the purchase. Only criticism is the collar is a bit flimsy… should be thicker fabric to support standing up on its own during chilly outings.
