OCTA INSULATION

"Zero-Gravity Insulation"

Design Inspiration

The OCTA® structure mimics the architecture of an octopus’s tentacle system —
flexible, dynamic, and complex. This isn’t just a visual analogy: the tentacle-inspired
radial grid structure helps regulate heat and moisture.

Structure
  • 8-way radial fiber stack: Polyester fibers are arranged like spokes around a
hollow center, reducing weight and increasing airflow.
  • Touchpoints + Air Pockets: The network of tiny air pockets retains warmth,
while fast-wicking contact points rapidly move sweat and humidity away from
    the body.
Performance Benefits
  • 50% lighter than traditional fleece.
  • Enhanced moisture management.
  • Quick-drying and thermally efficient.
  • Dry-air cushioning provides next-to-skin comfort

In essence, OCTA® insulation blends biomimicry, thermal engineering, and material science
into a lightweight, high-function textile ideal for demanding environments.

The Go Anywhere Do Anything Layer!

"The perfect soft shell light insulation for high output activities. Insulation only where it matters, minimalist design to keep it simple. Perfect for moving fast in the alpine."

MY FAV BERINGIA ALL SZN PIECE

I kid you not I own 2 from previous season and 2 of this new seasons. I wear the Octa Anorak spring touring, trail running, mountain biking, rock climbing, hiking and just casually around town. It genuinely is the best all season training piece and amazing for the cooler spring days! The targeted insulation drys quickly and I have never had an issue with over heating. I am 5ft 7in and wear an XS-S in the Octa just depends on if you like it more fitted or looser.

Excellent

5’-6” 145lbs, got a small and it fits great. Perfect for cool weather runs and warm skate skis. Just enough wind break and insulation with the front-facing fleece lining.

Exceptional Versatility

Another part of the Beringia quiver I keep reaching for. It’s an athletic fit, I ended up with a XL at 6’2 and very thin. The lofty fleece along the chest, shoulders, and arms along with the centered chest pocket allows for very agreeable drape while active. It packs down remarkably well and I bring it every time I question the need for an extra layer.

Essential gear for most any outdoor activity

I'll keep this short since so many have already given this jacket a great review. It is NICE. After visiting the store in Bozeman from out of the state in September, I got to see firsthand the quality of the gear. I picked up a few items that weekend, and loved them so much, I've bought some other gear including this jacket since then thru the webstore. The size SM is a good fit for me at 5'-9" and 150Lbs, I can wear a tshirt and base layer underneath and it's still not overly tight.
