from 531 reviewsThis vest is one of the finest outdoor clothing items I’ve purchased. It is light, well made and very Warm.
510, 170 lbs -- Medium fits well, but slim (and in .
Great for ski touring -- one of the few pieces that can break wind and simultaneously doesn't have insulation on the back where you pack is.
High quality was the first thing that came to mind when I took this out of the package. It’s obviously very thoughtfully made and there’s nothing superfluous about it. It’s super comfortable, durable, and feels great skiing in. After using this as well as the Farallon shirt I am a fan for life.
Great fit, warmth, and stretch. Looks good on the mountain and about town. Fabric is soft and quiet yet surprisingly water resistant. Without question outperforms my Arcteryx Atom LT. Highly recommend.
Absolutely fabulous garment. Time will tell how durable it is; for the price hoping it last a few lifetimes. First impressions indicate it should. Thick hardy wool. Re sizing, am 5ft 10in, male, 172lbs, workout 5d a week, muscular build, the XL was perfection, not overly baggy/boxy, cut still shows shoulder definition at an XL, and that was with a tshirt on. i did stuff an Atom Hoody under it too, still fit exceptionally well plenty of room, so this piece seems like it can do whatever you ask of it regardless of season or layering.
I purchased this jacket a few weeks ago with intentions of wrapping and placing under the Christmas tree (for myself!). But when temps dropped and snow flew after Thanksgiving, I couldn’t help but put it on for a Peets Hill dog walk. Despite single digit temperatures, I was warm with what felt so lightweight and highly mobile. I am already imagining all of the activities for which this jacket will just thrive!
These shirts are amazing. I have another from a couple years ago and it just gets better as it breaks in. Skied in it, camp in it, and everything else. Haven’t had to have it dry cleaned yet and has zero smell even after all the campfires.
A fantastic design and top-tier materials…highly recommended!
This product is very well made, very light, confortable and warm, true to size.
This top is seriously warm when layered. I wore it in the Arctic -20 deg C with high winds, as a base layer it got a bit hot depending on my mid and top layers. It seems to trap air for warmth very effectively. BTW, as the washing instructions will tell you, do NOT put it in the dryer :)
I loved the jacket but I wanted to leave a review for sizing purposes to help others. I'm 6'1" about 175 pounds and am always a Medium in puffy jackets like this (Patagonia, North Face, Mountain Hardwear) so I got a Medium and it was a bit too short at the waist for me and a bit tight. I ended up returning and might try a Large so take that for what it's worth. Quality is top notch and the colors are so sick in person...just didn't fit me the right way.
This is such a top quality, lightweight vest. High loft down fill. No hard, crunchy duck feathers poking through. Excellent fit and fabric. Even the pockets have soft pillows of down-fill on the outside as well as the inside to keep your hands toasty warm. Perfect vest for layering. My first, but not my last Beringia product.
Best wool shirt Ive ever owned…hands down!
Great warmth and breathability, the shoulder vents are amazing, pockets are versatile, and wool is hearty and soft.
The Beringia Dragonfly Waterproof Jacket is a simple, lightweight shell that’s easy to bring along for any and all unpredictable weather. I’ve used it everywhere from Colorado’s sudden mountain storms to Guatemala’s humid afternoon rains, and it’s held up well in both places. The fabric feels tougher than expected for how light it is, and the waterproofing has stayed consistent after months of being stuffed into my pack. The fit runs large and a bit bulky, but the extra space makes layering easy. There aren’t many features—just one chest pocket and smooth, waterproof zippers—but that’s what keeps it so light. It does the job well and disappears when you don’t need it.
