from 551 reviewsHaving owned and used a wide range of 3-layer shells, the Pertex St. Elias Jacket stands out as the most refined and capable in my kit. The articulated, freeride-oriented fit combined with built-in stretch allows for unrestricted mobility while maintaining a clean drape over layers. The helmet-compatible hood and more open collar design integrate exceptionally well with midlayers that have hoods, such as the Beringia Lightstream Jacket, without creating bulk or pressure points. The shell offers excellent storage with a well-thought-out pocket layout, and the Pertex face fabric is notably soft to the touch while remaining durable. An outstanding choice for a high-performance shell system.
The Beringia Lightstream Jacket is my go-to insulation layer on colder days when smart layering really matters. The body-mapped insulation makes it incredibly functional, keeping me warm where I need it most while staying breathable in high-output areas. It strikes the perfect balance between warmth and comfort, making it an essential part of my cold-weather kit.
This is hands down the most comfortable base layer I’ve ever worn. It’s so cozy that I keep it on for hours even after a full day of skiing. The longer fit is perfect, and the fabric feels completely unique, unlike any other base layer I’ve tried. I can’t recommend it enough.
Great stitch which makes a great fit. Hoody for the win
I really love this jacket, and it has quickly become a staple of my daily wear rotation. Trim enough to layer over on a colder day but loose enough to layer under on a milder day (it's really not heavy enough as a primary outer layer on the coldest days), while also presenting a fashionable and understated look that is equally at home at work or out and about.
First pullover down jacket for me and I absolutely love it. The big pocket at the bottom is awesome and the fit is great. I'm 6'1" and 190 lbs and the XL is a great baggy fit for mountain sports. Could probably size down for around town, but I love a big down jacket.
When you don't know what to get someone who's moving around and very active in their life, this is bound to initiate a happy thank you note :-)
I've worn it (Dark Charcoal) almost every day since receiving it in late November; it works for me as either a light jacket over a sweater or fleece vest or under a coat. The lined sleeves allow for easy sliding over layers. I am 5'9" and about 165 lbs. and the Large is a good comfy fit. Yes, it is pricey, but I think it is a good value and I hope to have it many years.
Love these over my base layer. So warm and toasty. A great addition to my Beringia kit!
So I love my men's Altai Over Hoody. It's just right in heft and in warmth. And now I love it even more. My husband and I boat a great deal when in our North Florida home on the river here, and I had placed it over the headrest of my seat on our ski boat for a quick photography ride. I heard an odd sound when my husband sped up the engine like a metal clink. About three miles later I realized that my jacket was gone and the sound must have been it flying over the stern of the boat into the water. We immediately turned around and zipped back to the spot, where my jacket was floating entirely on top of the beautiful river tributary, nearly dry. I Love Beringia! We are ordering more of your products. And may I say, it's gorgeous! Many people, women and men, ask where I purchased it.....
The quality of this shirt is exceptional. Beautiful cloth and warmer than you’d expect for the weight. Very comfortable down into the 40s with a shell or over a sweater. Comfortable at warmer temperatures with just a t-shirt. I do enjoy having the hand warmer pockets on the insulated version and the lining makes it easier to slide on over other layers. Highly recommend it.
Love the weight, color, fabric and the fact that it is recycled. I was sure I needed until I got it home. Must have for Montana.
Excellent quality and feel of material.
Love the design and color.
Well thought out design.
Can't wait to put them to work!
Best customer service around.
Super comfy next to skin and so warm. I loved the top and so I bought the bottoms as well.
